Latin Shine - 20 jan 2006Great Salsa Event ↑Several months ago, the organization decided they wanted to organize a great salsa event in Limburg. Behind the scenes are father and son: Tom and Jyotir Henriquez. Discotheek Mondial ↑A most popular, huge Disco in the south of the Netherlands that attracts people from all over Holland, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, and even France. For more information about Mondial, visit: www.mondial2000.nl Main area ↑In this area visitors like you who cannot enjoy the music by standing still, can dance Salsa, Merengue and Bachata played by the life band Sebastian y su and by the best latin DJs. Music from Cuba, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Dominican Republic and Venezuela will be played in this area. 2 nd Area ↑In this innovating area, visitors who just like to taste The Latin Flavor can relax and enjoy the Zouk-, Reggaeton- and Latin House music. There will also be a spectacular danceshow of the Salsa Dance Squad’s Latin Fever Girls. Sebastian y su contrabando ↑ContraBando is a new Cuban group under direction of Andrés Fernández Ordoñez ’El Paisa’ with his basis in Europe. Andrés is an excellent trombonist and was one of the musicians in the Cuban group “Pupy y Los Que Son Son”. He plays also piano and composes his own songs. ContraBando consists out of eight very talented and professional musicians, which united themselves to perform around the world. ContraBando’s very extended dance repertoire is a fusion of salsa, merengue, batchata … and the more commercial Latin music. They adjust themselves perfectly to the wishes of the organisator and are appropriate for an excessive festival to a pleasant birthday party, from a business party to a real sensational salsa disco. Richenel is one of the Netherland’s fastestupcoming Salsa disc jockeys. As a native of the tropical Caribbean island Aruba, he learned Salsa at his mother’s knee having roots in Colombia , the Dominican Republic and Curaçao. Onthis tropical island, he found his soul and learned to dance. During histeenager years he regularly participated in dance competitions to try out hisshines and moves on the jury. DJ Willy ↑
DJ WILLY, born in Paramaribo, Surinam, where he started his career as a dj in 1980. Soon DJ Willy became the most popular DJ in Surinam where he played in the most popular Discotheques’. In 1992 he moved to the Netherlands where he started over new. He won the DJ-battle in the Imperium in Rotterdam. After that he performed in Amsterdam where he plays all kinds of music, but especially the Salsa. DJ Jarzino ↑
As a DJ Eduardo frequently tries to update his collection. He currently has a wide variation of salsa music which he carries with him such as; Cuban, Puerto Rico , Gran Colombia , Miami , New York and International Salsa. In his case he also has bolero, merengue, merengue house, bachata and zouk, which he became more familiar with because of his Brass Band friends whom he plays with. Tom Henriquez is highly experienced in organizing great salsa events for many years. Jyotir Henriquez is a young enthusiastic dance instructor, who rapidly set up his own danceschool. They´ve taken this great opportunity, to make it possible for hondreds of people, every season, to have a taste of the unforgettable Latin Atmosphere.
